Pétion Durandisse was the youngest of Télancy's three sons. Named after Alexandre Pétion, one of Haiti's founding fathers, his very name reflects the family's deep ties to the spirit of Haitian independence.
Pétion fathered Pelisson Durandisse, whose sons — Janel, Walter, and Francis — represent the most fully documented branch of the family today. Through them, the Pétion line extends into the modern era.
